Abstract

Hip and groin pain is a common clinical problem. Ischiofemoralimpingement syndrome (IFS) is rare but sometimes reportedas significant causes of hip pain. We report a caseof IFS detected in a hemiplegic limb that made it difficultto undergo rehabilitation therapy. To our knowledge, thisis the first report about IFS in hemiplegic limb of a strokepatient. Ultrasound-guided steroid injection into ischiofemoralspace could be a good alternative strategy for pain managementof IFS during rehabilitation setting. (Clinical Pain2014;13:107-110)
